John Rogan (1868 – 1905) was an American known as the second tallest person in history after Robert Wadlow, measuring 2.67 m (8 ft 9 in). He began to grow very rapidly at the age of 13, due to gigantism. This led to ankylosis, an abnormal rigidity of the skeletal joints. That’s why, by 1882, he could not stand or walk. His weight was only 204 lb (92.5 kg).
