After Dacia Sandero has recently beaten VW Golf to become Europe’s best-selling car, the Romanian brand surprises us again with a new model that promises to make it even bigger with Jogger.
Dacia Jogger is a 3 in 1 model, an all-rounder car, as it replaces the old Dacia Logan MCV (Multi Convivial Vehicle / Maximum Capacity Vehicle, or simply put the wagon version of the Logan /Sandero), the Dacia Lodgy family car, and also Dacia Dokker, which was mainly used for transporting goods.
The vehicle’s name comes obviously from “JOGGING” which adds the suffix “er”, just as Duster.
It is based on the third-generation Logan and Sandero (the CMF-B platform from Renault), and it will be offered with five and seven seats. In 2023, a hybrid version will be offered, making it the first Dacia branded vehicle to feature a hybrid drivetrain.
Dacia Jogger Dimensions
- 4547 millimeters (the longest Dacia model)
- 1784 millimeters (without exterior mirrors)
- 2007 millimeters (with mirrors unfolded)
- 708 liters (for the five-seat version, with the third row of seats folded down)
- 565 millimeters (for the five-seat version, with the third row of seats removed)
- 160 liters (for the seven-seat version)
Ground clearance: 20 cm
It may look like an SUV with its modular roof bars and high ground clearance, but it’s not quite so, as Jogger is available with only front-wheel drive. So Duster is the only off-road model from Dacia for the moment. But stay tuned: its stronger brother Bigster will be released in a few years.
Dacia Sandero and Jogger are quite the same from the B-pillar forwards, but there’s a 40mm step-up from the B-pillar backward, offering additional height & weight to the passengers in the back.
Dacia Jogger Engines
- the brand-new TCe 110 petrol engine
- the ECO-G 100 engine
- a hybrid engine (available from 2023)
Dacia Jogger Price
Jogger will be by far the cheapest seven-seater on the market, its price starting in Europe from €15,000 (£12,900).
LPG / ECO-G
Please note that Dacia is the only carmaker that offers a full range of vehicles on the retail market with petrol and LPG bi-fuel engines.
It can be ordered starting November 2021 in 30 countries, mostly European, but also in Turkey and Israel. The new model will arrive in showrooms in February 2022.
Once again, Dacia is changing the rules as it reinvents the versatile, affordable family car. As either a 5 or 7-seater, Jogger perfectly embodies Dacia’s positioning and spirit. With versatility thanks to its record levels of space and modularity and an attractive, rugged design, Jogger is made for adventure. Jogger underscores Dacia’s commitment to making mobility accessible to all and sustainable, as highlighted by its upcoming hybrid model. Whether you’re with your family, running an errand, or enjoying some leisure time, Jogger is your ideal companion.
